Accounting Assistant, INNOVIVE LLC
Although I was initially hired to be part-time and in the Marketing Department, I recognized a need in the Accounting Department. I quickly transitioned to be full-time and a strong support staff for Accounting, and facilitated AP/AR processes. This role gave me the final push to pivot my education and change my major.

SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY
After excelling in this course and demonstrating a strong grasp of accounting principles, I was asked to join a team of 6 Teacher's Assistants. In this role, I not only mitigated the workload of the professors, but also interacted with students weekly in my office hours and occasional lectures. I found this position to be one of the most rewarding experiences I've had thus far.
June 2020 - August 2021
Administrative Assistant, CHICAGO CARDS
I obtained this position when the initial COVID lockdown lifted. This was my first experience outside of food service, and my eyes were truly opened. Chicago Cards was a sports retail store converted to ECommerce. I learned the operations of a small business, all the behind the scenes purchasing, accounting, marketing, and project management. I ended up listing about 2000 products during my time here, and most notably, took inventory of the entire store, something that the owner has never been able to do himself. I can now whip out my party trick: naming every pro football, baseball, basketball, and hockey team and where they're from.

I graduated high school at 16 years old, and I began my college career at that age. I studied marketing up until now, and recently decided to extend my education to pursue Accounting and a CPA license. I will be graduating with 150 units and be CPA eligible by December of 2023. My cumulative GPA is 3.77. My first passion in life will always be Marketing, but I want to open as many doors for myself as possible. I am also studying my native tongue: Mandarin Chinese; I aspire to be able to conduct business abroad in the future.
