ABOUT ME
Up Close & Personal
I grew up in the bay area, Pittsburg CA (east bay), to be more specific. My parents are immigrants from Taiwan and China, and I strongly value my cultural roots. I come from a lower income family, a fact that is slowly changing ever since my parents delved into real estate investment and opened their restaurant. There was a lot of emphasis put on my education; we pulled many strings for years to get me in a decent school district. I am ever grateful for the way I was raised.
My first passion was Marketing/Sales. I watched my parents struggle every day to keep our restaurant doors open. I worked there from ages 12-16. I asked myself, "Why is this happening? Our food is so uniquely delicious and the service is incredible." The answer was: people didn't know about us.
I’m thrilled to say that I’ve learned so much since that young age. I describe myself as a blended dichotomy. I've always been an independent and analytical thinker who has a strong drive for excellence. That side of me still very much exists, but I've developed into a people-loving, empathetic, and innovative problem solver. Being well rounded allows me to adapt and succeed in various fields and aspects of life. Of course, this doesn't take away from my more far-fetched dream of one day walking a runway.
